Who has time to lay out?

Really... I only have 1 child right now, but just thinking about getting time to "lay out" in peace makes me shiver. There is absolutely NO way I will have any time to lay out and get a beautiful golden brown tan this year. Unless, I decide to take my precious 2 hours of baby nap time and tan it away... ummmmm.... NO THANKS!
I have always been a fan of at home tanning products, and recently tried a cheap one... it's Banana Boats Tanning Mist can called Summer Color... ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!! I am sold. I bought this at Target for just over $6. I have used it 2 times now and the color is simply amazing. I look like I have laid out and gotten a nice glow without even laying out!
Here is how easy it is to use...
  • I take my shower
  • dry off
  • spray my mist all over
  • let it dry for 5 minutes
  • get dressed and in about 2 hours I already see color!
Moms are busy, we don't have time to do all the things we used to do. This is my tip to help moms get that summer glow without wasting the time of soaking in the sun rays! Try it out let me know what you think, and if you use any other self tanning products, let me know what it is you use and what you think of them! :)

Stay At Home Moms need money too!!!

It's hard enough to stay at home all day and take care of your children, but when you run out of money to do the things, that used to be normal to your everyday life, it's time to find a way to bring in some extra cash!
Back in October of 2009, this is the predicament I found myself in! It's not that we were broke, but I wanted to make my own money so I could do what I wanted to do with it... you know? YES! I have a shopping problem... NO I don't need an intervention, I just needed a way to make money to support my habit.
I was invited to a Premier Designs Jewelry Party by my cousin... not going to lie, I really didn't want to go. Who wants to go to a party to look at Jewelry that is over priced, yet you feel obligated to buy something because you were invited... NOT ME! ... I ended up going anyways, dragging along my brothers girlfriend and another friend. We arrived a little late, girls were trying on Jewelry and people seemed excited...
The Jeweler who was representing the Jewelry had us all sit down to play a "purse game" such a great idea to get everyone involved! We played for a free charm bracelet. I didn't win, but I gained a lot of information from the Jeweler... here is what I learned about being a Premier Designs Jeweler..
  1. You make your own schedule. Work as little or as much as you want.
  2. You choose how much Jewelry you have out on your table.
  3. No inventory is needed!! All you need is our display pieces which again, as much or little as you want!
  4. YOU make 50% of all your sales & you are paid the same day!!!
  5. There are no quotas!
After hearing all of these things, I didn't buy anything. I mean really? would you? knowing that the jeweler is making 50% of the retail price of the jewelry means, to me, there is a huge mark up there! CRAZINESS I TELL YA!

So, I contacted a local Jeweler. I set up a meeting and I wanted to know the whole scoop on this. It seemed too good to be true.
THIS IS DEFINITELY A PERFECT JOB FOR THE STAY AT HOME MOM!!!
I became a Jeweler 3 days after meeting with my local premier jeweler. Let me tell you... I work when I want, shop when I want and I love what I do! This allows me to continue to stay at home with my daughter and pick and choose when I want to work and when I don't want to work! LOVE IT!!!
Right now my average show is about $500 which means I make $250 on average each show I do. Typically you can get 2 shows a week, but I have been slacking a lot lately... weather got nice, holidays were here and I have wanted to spend my weekends with my family!

Anyways, I guess all I wanted to say was there are GREAT opportunities out there for Stay At Home Moms, this being one of them. Premier Designs Jewelry has been a blessing to me, and it could be a blessing to you or someone you know as well!

If anyone is interested in getting the literature for this let me know, I would be more than happy to get it out to anyone who could benefit from the opportunity!

Lets Talk PAMPERS!

For those of you who use Pampers diapers, what are your thoughts on the new cruisers dry max diapers? We have used all pampers products, we have done the baby drys, normal cruisers and overnight diapers. I LOVE their overnight diapers, but for some reason I'm not a huge fan of the dry max technology diapers. I purchased them, we used them, and within 24 hours my daughter had a horrible reaction from them. Not sure why, regardless I emailed the team at P&G explained what happened and was curious what was new with the diapers that would have caused them. I received an email back and they apologized about the incident a representative would be in contact with me within 48 hours. Long story short, I grabbed my mail a couple days ago and I received and apology letter along with 9 $10 off coupons!!! AMAZING! This never happens to me! :) We went back to pampers baby dry and pampers overnight diapers and it didn't cost us a dime! absolutely FABULOUS!! I will continue to be a loyal pampers customer!

TTC baby #2

Trying To Conceive baby #2.

This has been a long time in the works. I have always wanted two kids, and my husband has always only wanted 1. It took a long time for me to get everything out of him to figure out why he only wanted one. I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT!

When we were talking about only having 1 baby my husband explained to me WHY it was best. Jeff (my husband) was an only child in his family, his parents divorced when he was young. His mom remarried a man who had 2 children, who now became Jeff's new family. Jeff's parents later conceived a baby boy. This brought the family to a typical his, hers and "ours" type of label. Well, Josh, who was the "our" baby became what the relationship was all about. Jeff explains that they lived for Josh, everything was always about him and everything will continue to be that way. Their schedule revolves around his schedule and everything else can come around that. After, he explained all this to me I could totally see what he was saying. I have been dating Jeff since the end of 2002 and thru all the time I have ever known them, we have always worked around the schedule of Josh. :( kind of a bummer to just now figure out why my husband only wanted 1 child.

HOWEVER, I explained to Jeff, I have 3 brothers, and 3 step siblings. I could not imagine having no other sibling to talk to or hang out with. Granted, I never see my steps, but to not have any biological siblings... I couldn't imagine. My brothers and I have a very unique bond between the 4 of us.
ANOTHER reason I explained to him why we should have another baby is because we made a promise to each other before we got married. We would NEVER divorce, we would work thru everything, because seeing what OUR parents had us going thru with the divorce process, is something we promised to never do to our own. That being said, we would never have to worry about one child having more attention than the other! :)

Our conversation ended really well, and after talking thru all of this, in our own mini therapy session, we have decided whatever happens, happens...
This being said... My husband always gives me what I want, he loves me, loves our family and wants the best for all of us. We are actively trying to conceive baby #2! YAY!!!

Not that I have a lot of followers yet, but have any of you been thru this discussion and what are your thoughts?!?
